Jumbo SA: The consumer response to JUMBO’s pricing policy is impressive and absolute

While inflation is rising sharply in Europe, the JUMBO Group has chosen a more targeted strategy of careful and strict selection of the products offered where the price-quality correlation was systematically and unquestionably in favor of the consumer.

Consumers continue to reward this policy, not only in Greece, which is its mainstay, but also in all the countries where the JUMBO Group operates.

As a result, in October 2022, JUMBO Group sales recorded an impressive increase of c. +12% over one year.

Over the 10 months of 2022 (January-October 2022), Group sales recorded an increase of c. +11% over one year.

Sales performance by country:

• Greece: In October 2022, the parent company’s turnover – excluding intragroup sales – increased by c. +4% compared to October 2021.

In total, over the ten-month period of 2022, the parent company’s turnover – excluding intragroup sales – increased by c. +13% over one year.

• Cyprus: sales in October 2022 increased by approx. +24% YoY and continued strong performance.
Overall sales in Cyprus for the ten-month period of 2022 increased by around +23% YoY.

• Bulgaria: Network sales increased by c. +37% YoY in October 2022.
Sales in Bulgaria for the ten-month period of 2022 increased by approx. +5% per year.

• Romania: Network sales increased by c. +21% YoY in October 2022.
Sales in Romania for the ten months of 2022 increased by c. +1% over one year.

The Jumbo Group is taking advantage of its financial strength and is continuing its investment program for 2022 and 2023.

Jumbo will open another private hyper-store in Sibiu, Romania, in mid-November.

In addition, the JUMBO Board of Directors approved on 17.10.2022 the payment of a special cash distribution of EUR 0.3850 per share for 2022.

• The payment of the extraordinary cash distribution will begin on Thursday, December 15, 2022.

It should be noted that to date, the management of the Company has implemented its commitment to maintain the dividend policy of 2021 also for 2022 and has paid a total amount of EUR 0.77 per share (gross) in two equal distributions in January and June 2022.
