Basic management policies until 2030

1. Contribute to solving the social challenge of the fight against global warming thanks to our electrification strategy adapted to regional specificities and environmental needs
2. Conduct extensive research on people and shed light on their relationship with cars with a view to realizing a safe and secure automobile society.
3. Maintain Mazda brand value management, deliver our unique values and continue to be customers’ preferred brand.
Based on the idea of ”co-creating with others”, Mazda encourage collaborative projects with a wide range of partners, refine our unique values and adapt to significant environmental changes. Additionally, we will invest in the people who are the source of our business.
1. Initiatives for carbon neutrality
To achieve carbon neutrality by 2050, we have set ourselves the intermediate objective of Mazda carbon-neutral factories globally by 2035. We will pursue this initiative on three pillars: energy conservation, shifting to renewables and using carbon-neutral fuels. In this effort, we will help achieve a sustainable circular society while coexisting with local communities and residents.
2. Electrification strategy
We have defined a three-phase approach until 2030 and will approach electrification with flexibility. In the first phase, we will use our technological strengths comprising multiple electrification technologies to achieve both a reduction in our environmental footprint and the manufacture of attractive products. In the second phase, we will introduce a new hybrid system and, in China where electrification progresses, introduce dedicated EV vehicles as well as launch battery-powered EV vehicles worldwide. In the third phase, we will promote the full launch of battery electric vehicles and consider investing in battery production. We estimate Mazda The EV ratio in global sales is expected to reach a range between 25% and 40% from 2030.
3. Value creation through co-creation between people and IT
