SimplyBiz Creates Policy Officer Position

SimplyBiz has appointed Alexander McGregor to the newly created position of Chief Policy Officer.

McGregor, a former senior director of compliance policy, has been with the company for eight years, following a five-year stint at Mattioli Woods.

McGregor’s promotion will see him lead SimplyBiz’s approach to providing regulatory policy support and guidance to the over 3,000 companies that make up the group, which includes Compliance First, SIFA, Signature, SimplyBiz Mortgages, Consumer Credit Center and SimplyBiz itself.

Alexander McGregor commented: “The demands placed on advisors not only to keep up with ever-changing regulations, but also to understand what this means for them in practical terms and introduce new ways of working to stay compliant, can be significant.
